The Uncomfortable Truth

On Yuin Country, I photographed landscapes through distorted stained-glass windows. This perspective—looking out from within the house was only made possible by settler privilege. The window frames evoke the house as a physical structure of dispossession and the unfinished quilts reference colonial women’s experiences - often powerless, yet simultaneously complicit.

Artwork made in response to the ANU’s Sharing Stories Community Arts Program on Yuin Country 2025.
